What age should you start figure skating?

      One can start to figure skate at anytime, 4-years-old is the best age to begin group lessons. Kids have developed some balance by then and generally are happy to be on the ice. 

 Basic Equipment you require for Figure Skating

Boots - Skate shoes or skateboard shoes are a type of footwear specifically designed and manufactured for use in skateboarding. ... The most important aspect of skate shoes is that they have flat soles which allow the skater to have better board control.

Blades and Comfortable - Having proper fitting skates is very important, but most players fail to have the blades shaped and sharpened properly.

Warm Clothing -  Clothes to wear for a smooth glide across the ice ... you're traveling in winter, packing is an important factor in dress selection. Comfort is key when ice skating, so make sure clothes are breathable, flexible and not too constricting.

 Joint and muscle health -  Skating works nearly every muscle group in the body, and gliding requires synchronized movement of the legs, which is important for joint flexibility. 

Improved balance, coordination and weight management -  Strengthening your muscles and improving your joint health leads to better balance. So does trying to stay standing on the ice.

 Most Famous Figure Skater

     Evgeni Plushenko Russian Evgeni Plushenko is the most accomplished figure skater to hit the ice in recent years. He won gold at the 2006 Turin Olympics in the Individual Men's competition and in the Team Mixed event at 2014's games in Sochi.
